Two Truths and a Fib
- Hand out piece of paper (even paper from the recycle bin)
- Ask students to write down two things that are true and one that is a fib, about their lives, the topic you are currently studying, etc.
- Students then volunteer to read their three statements out loud once.
- Read each one, one at a time and ask class to vote with hands-up whether they think each one is true.
- Then ask student to say which statement was false and elaborate a sentence or two on each one.
- Students can draw a picture that illustrates their statements.
- Students can ask questions of the presenter.
Kids will do this activity all day. A few can be done a strategic points in the school day as motivators/rewards for other assignments being completed. (Long live Pavlov!)
