16. Kids Paws and Grizzly Claws
This curriculum-tied show for K-6 will address the plight of the grizzlies, habitat stewardship and sustainable development issues in a rollicking hour-long guitar singalong concert. Depending on availability & funding, frequent Puffin collaborator Captain Wilderness, may also be available for some bookings.
Other curriculum tie-ins include needs of plants and animals, trees & forests, endangered species, and empowering students to undertake learning towards the environmental literacy stages of:
- raising awareness
- increasing knowledge and
- taking action through language arts activities like:
- positive letter writing
- publishing a school-wide press release and/or
- mini-newspaper and peer teaching by example.
A pre-show activity package is also included.
