06. The Original Environmentally Tuned To The Biggest Classroom Of Them All

This full or half day workshop has been presented to capacity groups numerous times since the activity booklet of the same name was published in 1992, now in fifth printing!

Join co-editors Jeff Reading and Peter Lenton for an experiential introduction to this highly sought-after booklet and a sneak preview of brand new activities from the 2nd edition (in production).

Participants will receive the 1st edition of 100 multi-disciplinary activities for use in planning and debriefing a continuum of experiences in the natural world.

Through the use of planning models and time-tested activities, environmental and outdoor education can be relevant to all existing curricular areas. This workshop will be highly active and fun, with a minimum of writing because you get the booklet! One end result will be teachers better equipped for helping students transform school experiences into more environmentally tuned personal lifestyles.

Participants: 40.
Location: Desks/tables & open (ideally carpeted) space for group activities, outdoor natural area.
A/V Requirements: Overhead projector, VHS video playback, 35 mm projector/carousel, screen.
