07. Environmental Fun & Games for the K-6 Science Curriculum!
Environmental Education can be tapped to teach all curriculum areas. Team building activities, initiative tasks and creative problem solving help students learn more efficiently. Drop in and experience the cream of the activities from 10 years of PD workshops, and, the ever-popular "Environmentally Tuned" Activity Booklet (2nd edition now in press after 6 printings of the initial resource!) A wide variety of teaching resources that use experiential education and the arts to teach science, will be available at reduced prices. A handout will summarize the session.
Requested time: 1/4 or 1/2 day (ideally).
Audience: 50-ish.
Venue: carpeted or floor for group activities, chairs and/or writing tables.
A/V needs: overhead projector& screen, VHS video playback, slide projector
